7K Racing is a Minnesota based, family owned and operated 2nd generation race team that was established in 1995 by dad, Jr Kottschade. The team has since moved onto drivers Teddy (17), Josiah (15), and Jackson (13) who started their racing careers driving dirt oval go karts. In 2018 the team made the switch from go karts to Bandoleros, competing at Elko Speedway located in Elko, MN. The 2019 race season saw Teddy jump up a class into a Legend car, with Josiah and Jackson driving Bandoleros. 2021 once again had drivers moving up with Teddy racing a Late Model and Josiah driving a Legend car.
